Seeing 'Wonder' at Marine Gateway Theater
'When given the choice of being right or being kind, choose kind.' - Dr. Wayne W. Dyer
Last week, Divisions 1 through 6 took a field trip to see the film 'Wonder' at Marine Gateway Theater. 'Wonder' is an Oscar nominee film by Stephan Chbosky, it stars Julia Roberts, Jacob Tremblay, Owen Wilson and many more. Seeing it in theater
was a great experience filled to the brim of bonding inter-school cooperation. Everyone learnt something from the charming story of Auggie Pullman's experience in the fifth grade at Beecher Prep in New York City. This film made many laugh, cry, and remind us of the power of our words. I think the film definitely encouraged a great message of being kind, a message that Cavell is taking by storm. Division 2 now has created a kindness initiative project for February aka kindness month. Another amazing kindness opportunity is that Ms. Prodan has selected a quote from Mr. Browne's precepts and displayed it in the main hallway, creating a chance for inspiration every time someone walks by. If you want more information on Ms. Prodan's new Cavell traditions, make sure to look out for our exclusive interview with her! Go Cougars!
