This Earth Day, Save the Bees
Cavell students are taught from Kindergarten to Grade 7 to be environmentally friendly. It even says in our motto, take care of this place, and that's exactly what the Cavell community does. With Earth Day today, (April 22), our PAC funded program, Earthbites has been teaching Cavell about how to make healthy delicious snacks, while staying nature friendly. It seems only appropriate that on Monday April 23, there will be a Pocket Market, a fun, delicious fundraiser for Earthbites. This season Division 2 has been assigned to plan and host the Spring Pocket Market, our theme, Bees! Those little guys do over 90% of the world's pollination, supplying us with food! Unfortunately, these adorable insects are in danger with the development of urban areas and large farms. So we will 'bee' selling natural honeys, crafts, and refreshments all related to bees. There will also be lots of information on how you can help save the bees in your own garden. So please join Division 2, under the purple basketball hoops tomorrow April 23, from 2:45 to 3:45. Happy Earth Day and Go Cougars!
